By her 16th birthday Quorra Gavrilli understood that her father’s drinking and violence had all but bankrupted the family farm and scarred her Mama’s face and heart.
She awoke to his voice. “It is your fault! You give me girls too weak to work the fields, too stupid to manage my accounts. My father’s name will die with me because you cannot give me a boy!” His words were punctuated with the sounds of violence. Quorra bounded down the stairs in time to see Nuncio dragging his beaten wife out the door of their farmhouse. “Che cosa avete fatto, Papa?” Nuncio was startled, making a noise like an animal. Quorra could smell the wine on his breath from where she stood. Suddenly Nuncio grabbed the empty wine bottle, and drove it shattering across Quorra’s skull with such force the impact knocked her unconscious.
As she came to her senses there seemed to be fireworks behind her eyes that only became clearer as she focused.

Riddick Sterns was a "normal" teenager, when suddenly he woke up one morning feeling strange. He was always good at trailing his drunkard father on the weekly book payment. His father was in serious trouble with the "family". Riddick, always wondered why his pop never had enough for food or groceries(just booze). After a bad episode of drunkeness, daddy beat Riddick nearly to death, while killing his mom(as she attempted to protect her son). This episode proved to be very crucial to Riddick's well-being, and his familial attachment, as he suddenly learned the art of "hide". He, also, realized he had grown some very deadly looking claws, through his skin, no less. The trauma had awakened his latent mutant powers. Daddy could not see him in the same room. This was cool, he practiced this ability, until he was sure it worked everywhere. Then he went off on his own, at the tender age of 13.

I don't know what I am doing anymore.
Long ago everything was so clear. I'd attend the university and then go on to work for Praetor Keyes. But now, that's not going to happen. Instead Keyes has gotten his Praetorship revoked and has grown despondent. All he ever talks about is how he has so much to do and how much he despises Praetor Berry.
Everything is so confusing now. Emperor Cole's got plans for an invasion and this Primal Earth wants to "liberate" Praetoria. I don't want to see the people from either world get hurt. I don't understand Emperor Cole's motivations considering the Hamidon Wars and all the death and destruction that ensued. Why inflict that upon another world, one that is recovering from their own world wide war?
I can't let this invasion happen, but I am not sure how I am going to go about doing that. Here on Primal Earth almost everyone fears or hates us Praetorians. They see us as the bad guys, despite if we are or not.

Gravitios started out life as a pretty normal human, except that he was rather gifted when it came to scientific engineering feats, which he had noble ambitions of using to help better society.
He developed a lightweight armor that he used to study the effects gravity and how it could be used in more practical uses for day to day life.
That was until his lab was attacked by Malta Operatives, who sought to use the armor as a means to contain and control metahumans. Gravitios happened to be wearing the armor at the time of the attack and against his better judgement used the armor to try and fend off the attackers.
During the firefight, the armor was damaged, sending a violent electrical surge throughout Gravitios' body, doing severe damage to his brain and nerve systems.
Eventually Gravitios awoke, but was no longer who he used to be.
