Sir William Henry Worthington III, KBE is a wealthy middle-aged British philanthropist who made his fortune in the textile industry. Recently, he retired from commercial business and devoted over 50% of his income to charitable foundations when he and his wife Isabella moved their permanent residence to US soil. He has invested over 40 million dollars in cancer research and even more in various relief and infrastructure funds aimed to help developing African countries. Easily recognisable for his trademark white suit and red tie attire as well as his apparently naturally fiery red hair, Sir William is a respected celebrity at every event he attends.
At least, that's what William has spent a lot of effort make people believe. The truth of the man behind all the names and titles, however, is much, much darker. This ancient immortal has long history of murder, manipulation, conspiracy and intrigue.

I panicked when I heard Monsignor coming up the stairs. I could tell that he’d gotten into the sacrificial wine and was doubtless feeling randy. I dropped my studies and fled down the hall, searching for a place to hide. Monsignor was calling my name, trying to coax me out of hiding with false complements and flirtatious solicitation. With dwindling options there was but one place he wouldn’t look. I unlatched the old door and rushed into the burial chambers beneath the cathedral. Crouching in the darkness I prayed with all my heart. I heard something in the tomb answer me with a voice that sounded like the crooked metal gate of the schoolyard scraping against the concrete.
“What are you praying for, boy?” the voice intoned. “Please God! I want to be able to defend myself. I want to stop Monsignor from hurting me!” There was a pause “..and what do you offer in return?” Oh, God, he was coming! I had to act fast. “Anything!” I pleaded.
