Cardinal Flare hails from another Earth, one where mutants evolved much sooner and became the dominant species on the planet...effectively becoming the normal humans of their world.

It was discovered that the Rikti were traveling to alternate earths as a means to bypass the block places between the Rikti homeworld and our earth. One of the earths the Rikti were using was Cardinal Flare's homeworld.

When heroes from Primal Earth arrived to stop the Rikti, Cardinal Flare offered assistance and realizing the threat the Rikti posed...offered to come back to Primal Earth to help keep the Rikti in check.

He was created by Crey as a clone of the hero, Razorstrike. I was created by Juliane Thompson’s freedom fighters from the DNA of the Praetorian Furystrike, my homeworld’s version of Razorstrike.
