As TV’s “Golden Gadfly” Kent Scorn made a career pointing out the supposed shortcomings of a diverse and ever-expanding range of targets. His job made him wealthy, famous and utterly despised. While on a tour of local eateries in the wild, untamed jungles of Whazzatpotamia he offended a local chef ("The succulent Banana Leaves weren’t enough to save the stringy dog-meat..."). The chef served him a dinner spiked with a fatal dose of the root of the rare Arroginsing plant. The Gadfly survived the contrived connivance but found he was changed by the ordeal. He now possessed the power of Super-Criticism! With a renewed sense of purpose he returned to Paragon City with a mission: to give injustice a severe thumbs down!
