According to her Order of Salvation profile, Annabella is a saint. She is wholly devoted to the fight against evil, and has been instrumental to the defeat of many criminals, villains and monsters. More than any other Order member, Annabella has fought on the front lines of the fight against evil, survive many encounters, suffered horrible injuries and resisted torture and coercion time and again. She is one of the Order's most dedicated, capable and efficient fighters, and well worth any praise she receives.
That is, if you believe the Order of Salvation propaganda, and you shouldn't. Annabella's actual story far, far less glamorous than what they would have you believe, and the scar over her left eye that she tries to hide with her hair isn't from battle as they claim it is. It is merely the tip of a much bigger iceberg hiding below the surface.

The man known only as Whispered Thunder started out as an assassin for the Tsoo, on a long-term mission to infiltrate and disrupt the Outcasts. It was almost too late when he learned that one of his missions was supposed to be his last, "accidentally" caught in the crossfire of the Outcast/Troll gang war. Only the (un)timely intervention of a group of heroes afforded him the opportunity to escape that fate.
Now he roams the Rogue Isles, serving no one master, a loose cannon looking for an opportunity to point itself in Tub Ci's direction.

Riddick Sterns was a "normal" teenager, when suddenly he woke up one morning feeling strange. He was always good at trailing his drunkard father on the weekly book payment. His father was in serious trouble with the "family". Riddick, always wondered why his pop never had enough for food or groceries(just booze). After a bad episode of drunkeness, daddy beat Riddick nearly to death, while killing his mom(as she attempted to protect her son). This episode proved to be very crucial to Riddick's well-being, and his familial attachment, as he suddenly learned the art of "hide". He, also, realized he had grown some very deadly looking claws, through his skin, no less. The trauma had awakened his latent mutant powers. Daddy could not see him in the same room. This was cool, he practiced this ability, until he was sure it worked everywhere. Then he went off on his own, at the tender age of 13.
“[i]Our early attempts at replicating the heroes of Paragon City have resulted in complete failure.
Our plans to clone the hero, Razorstrike (See files 5-223-5 Gamma) have produced interesting, yet undesirable results. Subject Beta 17-A shows some of his donor’s powers – chiefly the ability to manifest large metallic claws from his hands. However, the subject lacks the ability to make himself nigh invulnerable. Instead, Beta 17-A is able to generate various energy fields that deflect melee and energy attacks. These defensive powers are making termination of Beta 17-A extremely difficult. His vulnerability to psychic energies may allow us to wipe his memories if termination is impossible.
