Time to fight fire with fire.
Cardinal Flare hails from another Earth, one where mutants evolved much sooner and became the dominant species on the planet...effectively becoming the normal humans of their world.
It was discovered that the Rikti were traveling to alternate earths as a means to bypass the block places between the Rikti homeworld and our earth.
