Hi Hemetite!
You could join our recruiting channel @adversityinfo. It would help us connect with you in-game.

Welcome.
What is your City of Heroes global name, by the way? The same as your forum handle here?
Beyond that, do as the others have advised and join the AdversityInfo channel. You're unlikely to hear much chatter in the channel itself, but most of us have it in our tabs and will respond to you when use it.
If you're in Alaska, then I suspect that will put you 11 hours behind me, as I live in Eastern Europe. So if you're in-game particularly early in the day, you may catch me online in my late night, or if you're on very late at night on your end, you may catch me early on the next day on my end. Time travel is cool like that. I offer to help with any sort of knowledge you may need about the game, or at the very least to do my best to find out, so feel free to ask any time. I can't promise we'll get much of an opportunity to team together, however, as I straddle both Pinnacle and Victory and my play schedule is sort of desynchronised from that of everybody else.
Check out the planned events in the yellow banner at the top of this site, or otherwise just chat up Adversity members where you see them and go from there.

Marq, Do I smell a special "Get to know you" event in the near future? Perhaps I could post/host it if a convenient time could be nailed down for both Hemetite and Mimi and a few others who are relatively new. Any suggestions?

Sounds like fun!

If you haven't done so, please join our AdversityInfo channel soyou can meet up in game and chat up some of our members and leaders.
Additionally, can you tell us a little about yourself? General playtime hours, what aspects of the game you enjoy, what you might be looking for in a group.
Again, welcome.
