Are you planning on Going Rogue?
August 6, 2010 - 12:01pm
Most of my plans revolve around making a few villains into rogues. I don't plan on doing any real side switching with any of my hero characters I'm tempted to take my DM/SR Scrapper over to the villain side for all of 5 seconds to get patron powers intead of the hero APP's - if he can get them. 'Cause I think soul mastery would be more fun to have instead of regular darkness mastery.
I am also definitely going to make a Kin Melee scrapper and an elec/elec Dom. Not sure about an elec controller yet.
So what are the rest of y'all planning?

I'm not planning on changing any of my current heroes or villains (yet). I am going to make a Kin scrapper 1st and definitely an elec Dom, since I'm enjoying my current Dom so much! Beyond that, I don't have any specific plans.

I've got a few plans to bring a villain over to hero side, but I'm more interested right now in exploring Praetoria.
That might change as it goes

I'm planning on a Kin melee something and a dual pistols something.
I'll be moving my brute to hero side and my widow to rogue (maybe hero).

I've planned out a few brand new Adversabots and Animosicons - can't wait to explore Praetoria!
I'm not sure how many of my existing Heroes and Villains will switch up. Might be fun to have all of them skirt that line of Vigilante and Rogue

I doubt I'll be spending much time in Paragon for the first couple of weeks. I've got at least two concepts for new Praetorians so I'll be found on that side of the portal.

My widow wants to be redeemed and a few of my heroes fit Vigilante more than hero as it is... new characters? I'll have to look through the new sets once it opens up.

I'll be back to try out the expansion, but don't have any specific plans. Based on the recent track record of new CoX stuff, I'll probably just gobble up the new content, get bored, and unsub again.

Who is going to take the time to explain Going Rogue to me? It is usually Marqaha's responsibility, but he grows weary of me.

Wow, I read the first sentence and immediately got pissed off. Then I read the second and I instantly felt better. To answer your question? NOT IT!

I can explain all the stuff I know about.
As for what I'll do, the simple answer is "make about three characters." I have several concepts that I can't really post screenshots of, but I'll be spending quite a bit of time in Praetoria when this launches.
I do not intend to side-switch almost any of my characters, save one - the demon-summoning kid I may or may not have shown you. His whole idea was to be a hero, but I made him a villain thanks to my impatience.
I doubt I'll make any rogues or vigilantes. I'd intended to, but I am no longer certain that the way the developers interpret this kind of middle ground reflects my own view on the subject, though to be fair, mine tends to be rather one-sided.
I can't wait.

Moar "pew-pew" is better! Thanks, Razor.
While I joke about someone explaining it to me, I really have spent a very minimal amount of time reading about Going Rogue.

With Going Rogue set to launch in under two weeks, I find myself thinking more about what I plan to do with different characters.

I've got two characters who are already inverse images of each other (they're sort of "before" and "after" snapshots of a redemption storyline). The hero is a dark defender and the villain is a corruptor. I'm probably going to use GR to have them swap places...
