We're saving the best for last. We have been corrupted, dominated and stalked within an inch of our sanity- and for some, beyond it- so let's go straight to the top of the food chain with a V.E.A.T. team!
Bring your V.E.A.T. toons to this Sinister Sunday while we run missions and say a somewhat fond farewell to the single AT teams. See you there!

I've been wanting to do this ever since you guys ran the initial VEAT team, can't wait! Oh, and for anyone whos not familiar with the term, it's Villain Epic ArcheType, meaning Soldiers/Widows.

I was looking forward this event; even made my first widow, and got her to level 4 in preparation for it.
However, it looks like circumstances conspired against me; the fish (RED salmon, mind you! The best kind!) are actually running (it has been a VERY bad year everywhere else), so instead of waking up at what you guys think is an ungodly early hour (5am, my time), I'll be waking up at what I consider too early - 2am. It takes several hours to get to Kenai, and this way we'll be ready to go by the time we are allowed to get our nets in the water (which, incidentally, is the exact same time this event starts!
). Pray that we catch our limit!

With only two nets in the water, we got 33 on the beach, and another 40 from my brothers who were on a boat.
A good step towards our limit (Between all the families - if we can get my sister's to get a license and join us for a bit - is 330, so it takes a bit of effort to get them all, then to process them). I am pretty sure that my wrist isn't going to survive more than one more trip out there, which will hopefully be Friday, so I hope they are running as well then as they were yesterday ....we'll see.
Missed you guys, though!

Gollee, that's the kind of weather I dream about while standing in frigid water for 18 hours, while my teeth are chattering enough to have me worried that I'll lose a few, and hoping the numbness in my toes and fingers doesn't mean I'll need to lose some of those as well, needing to go the bathroom for hours but not able to go (because the fish started coming in, and I am there to catch them in my net, not try to coax them onto the shore and meekly submit to being filleted
); and when I DO finally take the time to go it takes forever because by that time I am completely soaked from head to toe. And absolutely starving all day because I can't take the time to get out and grab something to eat because I may miss a fish - which would be terrible, because that would be one more catch closer to being able to go home to my warm bed and blessed sleep.Call me crazy, but I still prefer the cold, now that I think about it, though....maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment, lol
