Super Saturday: 5 Alarm High Alerts with a side of Croatoa badges
Submitted by Ember Rose on March 29, 2010 - 7:33pm
As if the thought of stuffed french toast on a Saturday morning wasn't enough to make you hot, wake up to a scorching morning of Adversity teaming zipping through high alerts and putting out 5 alarm fires in their spandex. Is that a euphemism? I think so!

Come join us as we scout the Event messages for high alert happenings and, while we are waiting, hunt things in Croatoa for the continuation of the pursuit of the Geas of the Kind Ones badge! So put on your flame retardant capes and hope for the best as we sweep the streets of Paragon City as clean as your sinus cavity after 3 ghost chile peppers!
Can't wait to see you there!

Sooo going to be there! If for no other reason than the french toast sounds wonderful.
Any particular ARC rating needed on those FR capes, Ember? I can sell you some (or rather, something you can cut up and make into a cape)!

Sadly, I have to take care of some business between myself and what passes for family. I'll be in north Jersey for the duration of the event. Hopefully when I get back I can wash the New Jersey off in time to play something.

Well, despite the Alert system being on the fritz, we still had a pretty productive morning badge wise. We managed to stop the fire completely in Steel Canyon, and witnessed the Fire Chief doing a jig to celebrate our success. Most got the Volunteer and Fire Fighter Badge, which gives ya a more powerful Fire Extinguisher for fighting fires. We then headed towards Croatoa, and managed to get all the zone defeat badges for almost everyone. This included Red Caps, Fir Bolgs, Tuatha, Sorceresses, Ghosts, and even the Zone's 2 Giant Monsters: Eochai and Jack In Irons. Joining us throughout the morning were:
Pax
Truss
Dr.Mood
Inferno Ant
Doc Rock MD
Shadow-Burn
Northern Lady
Johnny Concrete
Shaaktar
Hermatia
Ember Rose
See you all next week, and thanks for the fun

Just so those of you who missed it can spend the rest of the weekend torturing yourself for missing such a great Super Sat. I am going to show you just what you missed.
First there was Pax's very own Clash of the Titians:

Turned out that he wasn't so interested in joining our recruitment drive,

But we all joined in and eventually prevailed,

Not being one to give up easily, Pax went out and found us a second PUG to try out.

I had to explain to him that the flaming head would probably play havoc with our bases smoke detectors and that he probably wouldn't fit onto the teleport pad either.

So we told him, "Thanks, but no thanks"... The Adversity way.

I think he took it well
