Great Scott, it's zombies!

The GoRo site was updated today with bios on the Resistance Leader, Calvin Scott and a new enemy group, the Ghouls.
Y'all that play L4D should love the Ghouls page, I think.

Yeah, but from what I hear they caved into their label's demands for a more mainstream (and thus more marketable) sound, losing what made them so appealing in the first place.
LMAO! Beaten at my own game. Well played sir.

at the band names/gag
The Ghouls appear to be a bit like repurposed Vahzilok and the zombie apocalypse - still, neat back stories behind them both

Actually, they look more like Pantheon zombies. Vahzilok's Cadavers and Abominations were deadly, but they lacked any sort of intelligence that wasn't provided by their human keepers, whereas the Pantheon zombies seem to have at least a simple hive mind logic to them. Besides, they LOOK like the Banished Pantheon husks

Good call Sam. I'm hoping they flesh this group out a bit more, no pun intended. I'm always up for an excuse to have undead hordes hunting us down or having us hunt them

Well, outside of the plot black hole that is City of Villains, the game has actually had a pretty good track record of fleshing out enemy groups. Granted, the original ones do neglect a group here and there, but I'd attribute that to a newbie development studio tasked with fleshing out far too many factions. One would assume they've learned their lesson and will keep enemy factions fewer in number, but give them more interesting stories. With the push to make every instance correspond to a specific building and give us a sense of location, this shows me a much greater level of attention to detail.
One can only speculate, obviously, but they have a good chance of having their story delved into. After all, there are tunnels that go down, and where there are tunnels that go down, dungeon-crawling adventurers WILL go down into them. It's the law of nature
