Left 4 Dead: How to Kill a Zombie
Submitted by marqaha on February 26, 2010 - 2:38pm
It's time for another Adversity Left 4 Dead event, #6 for 2010!
It's March 2010 and we've managed to stave off the zombie apocalypse for another year. To celebrate we're going to shoot virtual zombies, so that we don't lose our skills when the real apocalypse arrives. We will turning the zombie hordes into a fine red mist as we battle to keep our delicious thinky-meats.
We'll be running campaigns in co-op mode, unless we have a large turn out, in which case surviving Adversity members will be facing off against their undead former allies in Versus mode.
Feel free to use this thread to discuss which campaign(s) you'd like to tackle.

Sadly I'll be missing this week's Left 4 Dead event, while I attend a Baby Shower for my best man and his wife. Kill plenty of zombies for me, and make sure to get in a couple of good accidental friendly fire shots off at Marqaha for me

Wow. Thanks for mentioning this. I thought we were switching up Saturdays with L4D2 one weekend then L4D1 the next.
Okay, alarm clock set for Saturday Night zombie fights.
Come one come all!
(And have fun tonight with L4D2. Wish I could join y'all.)

Unfortunately for me... fortunately for the rest of you, I will not be able to attend this week. My wife decided we are going out to dinner with a friend of hers... Joy!

And I forgot to make a Demo *again*!
Grumble.
Some day you all are going to see us on YouTube with the piano-playing cats or we'll just broadcast it live on ChatRoulette.
Here's for Mis, YouTube of people who aren't us crowning witches with chain saws.

And having almost as much fun. Kinda scary, huh?

There's also some good lines on Dead Air. ("Oh no, the zombies killed god!" and "God is dead. Welcome to the club") And it's one of my favorite finales (though, the finale is awful for the Infected side -- for instance, one of the auto-spawn spots is in the fire in the pit near the fuel truck, so it's like whee I'm on fire, now I'm dead and Infected! -- except for tanks and those luggage carts of doom).
Blood Harvest is considered the most "fair" map for both sides. Plenty of sneaky spots and high-damage pounce abilities for Hunters. And the tank fights are always brutal.
Anyway, I'm up for anything. Just because I played way too much on No Mercy when I got the game last summer doesn't mean it isn't going to be awesome for anyone just starting out. In fact, the Subway in New Mercy 2 gets my vote for Best Atmospherics in a Zombie Apocalypse. And I still get vertigo in the under-construction upper floors of New Mercy Hospital.
