Announcing STO events in Steam

Despite the fact that I'm not playing STO I'd still like to promote the Exigency fleet. Last night I attempted to add the Fleet Night events to our Steam group but it didn't give me to option of tying the event to STO. My guess is its because I don't own the game.

Could one of you who do own the game through Steam meet with me for 2 minutes on Vent to see if I can transfer the ability to create group events?
