Exigency Fleet Uniform Contest

Exigency Fleet Members,

With the relaxation of the the strict Starfleet Uniform Code, the variety among acceptable Starfleet uniforms is quite astounding. In an effort to promote a sense of unity among our Fleet's Captains, we are now accepting proposals for a Fleet Uniform. These proposals will be duly considered and one will be selected as the standard for our Fleet.

So, we're holding a Fleet Uniform design contest! We'll allow a week for submissions and then we'll have a poll open for about three or four days to get everyone a chance to vote. The following are the guidelines:

1) Standard uniform options only. All options must be available to everyone. So no WoK Admiral uniform, no DS9, TNG or Mirror Universe pieces.

2) Must have at least two tones, one of which is of the red/gold/blue department color. You can do a black and gold uniform like TNG/DS9/Voyager. Or a blue with department color highlights like Enterprise. But it must have at least two colors.

3) To encourage a diverse set of options, each member may submit up to 2 distinct entries. Distinct is rather subjective. So if the Community Leads find them too similar, we'll let you know.

Now to enter into the design contest:

1) A screenshot of the uniform. Try to take a high res version with basically just the character in the uniform against a relatively blank background.

2) A list of the costume pieces and colors sets for each piece. To identify colors, start from the top left corner which is Row 1, Column 1. Rows are the y-axis, columns are the x-axis.

3) E-mail the screenshot and information to . In the subject line place something relating to STO and the Uniform contest. I'll reply to your e-mail with confirmation that I've received the entry. If you haven't heard from me in 24 hours, please re-send the entry.

A prize hasn't been confirmed yet, but there will be some sort of recognition. I know we've used little site badges for other contest winners and I'll talk with Pax about that.
