Nice, thanks for the info. I have been waiting for dual pistols for some time now. I already have a character ready. I might just spring for the pre-order. Cheap as I am, that's saying something.

Hmmmm.... it looks interesting. Of course they also have to schedule in the anniversary and GoRo.
If the pre-order is March and April, is there then a May release for GoRo or would that be too soon?
Possible Dark Mirror feature then would be a true Archenemy, which is something that the community has been asking for, along with power customization, player created content, etc.
I know this is a bit nasty to say, but I don't like the price of the GoRo expansion. That price USD normally translates to roughly the same price I paid for the full STO game.
Also, any news on what 'Uber Mode' really means? For those of us who don't have 'Uber' machines will it mean anything?

Silly Per, the original post says July Release of Going Rogue
Ultra mode uses real time shadows, ultra shading/graphics layers, and other such effects to bring the game into today's current standards of gaming graphics awesomeness. However, it's a totally optional thing, so if you can't turn it on, or don't want to, CoX rolls on as always
And color me confused on the price thing - STO was $50 USD retail, while GoRo will be $30 USD for the standard, or $40 for GoRo plus extra costume/aura pack of win. How does this translate as more expensive than STO normal retail?

Hey all,
Just to clarify before speculation runs toooooo rampant, we're not doing a Nemesis-type system for Issue 17.

Yeah, that's excellent news and all, but it includes a lot of boxed-only sets that I can't buy where I live and no-one will ship here, especially American retailers. I'm not worried about the preorder. I'm a patient man. I can just wait for the game to come out on the PlayNC store. I'm seriously worried about the in-game item pack, however. I certainly hope either the full package or just an item-only booster pack will be released at some point.
As for the rest, I'll wait for the thing to hit open beta.

Sam, If you ever need something shipped to you, just let me know... I would be happy to ship to you. If you send me an address and shipping info. Whatever it may cost to ship, And I will order something to my house then ship it to you... If that will help.

*Of course Marq could probably do it cheaper*

Yeah... I was blinded by some of the shinies and missed the July date.
I guess I'm actually quite surprised that they'd put a March/April pre-order on a July product. It's a bit pre-mature, IMO. Of course, we're not talking about a new game, though, but one that is already established, so risk is minimal.
As for price, I paid $49.99 for STO. Normally something that is $30 to $40 USD is priced at $45 to $50. I didn't realize we got a relative deal on STO. I'll have to see what it retails at, but normally it's worth my money to by it online from NCSoft's store and suck up the exchange myself.

That's why I refered to it being $49.99 CND as being a relative deal for us. I had assumed it was $15 to $20 cheaper USD based on the way other games are priced.

As far as this is concerned, I'm not really sure I actually care about what happens to the physical box, so I'm not sure any shipping will be required. To the best of my knowledge, only serial codes count, so actual physical shipping may be unnecessary. I'll have to investigate PayPal as an option for peer-to-peer payments and I'll give you a nudge if I want to go for the preorder box. Those aren't for sale yet, are they?

Animated tails is pure fan service. I'll say one thing for Paragon studios: they are definitely responding to the fan's wishes.

I have always hated having to get somebody to 'mule' influence/infamy between your characters - the ability to mail between characters will be great.
