Adversity 4e Dungeons & Dragons

Submitted by Orange Dragon on July 1, 2009 - 12:59pm

The long talked about 4e Adversity D&D campaign is finally under way! It's time to break out the multi-sided dice and play a good old-fashioned pen and paper game.

Our D&D campaign will be run on a combination of Ventrilo and Maptool, a virtual tabletop accessory and takes place in the Eberron setting.

We currently have the following players signed up for some D&D adventuring ...

Orange Dragon - DungeonMaster
Koldoon - Deva Invoker
MstrRich - Tiefling Ranger
FX - Dragonborn Fighter
Inferno Ant - Dwarf Cleric

I will probably create an NPC (that's non-player character for those of you not in the know) to assist the players in their adventures. If anyone would like to "sit in" on our game, they are more than welcome. Our currently nameless NPC will be available for someone to play during our sessions if anyone would like an opportunity to try out the game.

I had a great time (despite my aversion to the new rules). =) I really like MapTools and all it's functionality. I'm not usually one for macros (as anyone who has seen me play my MM knows), but I absolutely love the functionality they provide in MapTools.

Also, on a side note for anyone who cares, I figured out how to add line breaks into my macros, so things should be easier to read now.

I'm really glad everyone had a good time. I definitely did too as you could probably tell, what with the game lasting a bit longer than I had planned. big grin

I think as we all figure out the rules and learn to use Maptool, combat should move along a bit more quickly. I'm still getting used to being the DM again as well.

Thanks for all the fun and I'm really looking forward to playing again this Friday.
