Hero Night : "Return of the Reichsman" TF

Hero Event
With the release of Issue 15: Anniversary, it's time to have a little party. A Nazi stomping party.

So all you level 45+ heroes need to get your boots and head on over to Dr. Kahn - or is it KAAAAAAAHN! ? In any case, meet up by the good doctor over in Founder's Falls across from the Vanguard building where the team(s) will form up.

Now if you want a few more specifics:

The Heroes follow the trail of some stolen information to find that an old foe is returning... in a big way! Forced to deal with an invasion, the Heroes must scramble to find a way to defeat a seemingly unstoppable enemy.

* Task Force Contact Name: Dr. Kahn
* Location: Founder's Falls
* Minimum Team Size: 4 Heroes
* Recommended Team Size: 6 Heroes
* Level Requirement: 45 - 50
* 5 Missions

Now remember, there is NO THEME involved. All you need is a hero on the Pinnacle server. Coalition members and friends are also welcome to join us smile

Sign-Up using the Drop-Down below so you can officially reserve yourself a spot on the event team for up to 15 minutes after the event starts.

See you all for Hero Night: #26 for 2009!

Hmmmmm - I'll either need to quickly get 6 more levels with my main on Pinacle or I'll need to transfer over my lone level 50 from the Freedom server!

It's something like 5 missions long, when I ran it on test almost all of my team had never done it and we did it in 2 hours or less. So ultimately it's not a very long one.

I played it on test but hopefully it received a few tweaks since then.

Depending on when you last ran it, it is very well possible. In other words, I know the last patch did change some things, but not sure if you had run that particular instance.

If there is room I will transfer over my lvl 50 katana/regen scrapper "DA TORNADO". I will need to break out the wd40 and scrape a whole bunch of rust off of him, but I think the 'scapper lock' will come back quickly.

BTW - a lot of my toons that I transfer from Freedom will have names that begin with DA - My old SG was the 'Dark Angels' and we had very active alt nights. Everyone rolled toons prefixed with DA and as it turns out this is the only character that i actually got to lvl 50.

We ran it last night, not clearing maps, etc., and it took 1:11. Not bad for a first run, but it was with people who are experienced TF'ers, not a PuG. We got 20 Merits.

Does this mean that we won't be running it tonight?? I just want to be sure before I shell out another 10 bucks to transfer between servers.

No, it's gonna happen tonight. There's a number of us that have yet to run it on live.

Pax was on Vent listening to the screams as Reichsman ripped out our hearts 'the long way', but didn't actually run it. I won't be available tonight though. I'll be table topping with some JTF members.

But first- that police officer is looking at me funny (maybe it's the tights?). I'm going to have to fix that. Hey! Bystander! Hold my drink, I have to kick some ass. But don't drink it. I'll kill you. No, seriously, I'll kill you. Don't drink my coffee. You know what, nevermind. That coffee is too good. Walk on, police officer. Today is your lucky day."

I haven't played my katana/regen scrapper since returning from my 2 year hiatus - does anyone know if there are any major changes that I should be aware of?

I don't have access to the game right now, but as I recall my build was pretty solid back in the day. I know that I took leaping and fitness as well as the body mastery ancillary pool (FA, laser Beam eyes and energy torrent). I'm hoping to get a chance to play for a little bit before we start tonight, but I have to warn you that I may be coming in a cloud of rust! eek

If there is enough room, I'll join. We are skipping the movie tonight.

But, consider me an alt, since I did it yesterday.

I'm aiming to be in tonight's run; I signed up with Generator, and I'd like him to be the 1st I do this with, but if I have to bring someone else I have a few other options.

Later on,

Thanks for the huge turnout this evening. We ran two teams and took on The Reichsman. Team one had a very successful run, and completed the TF in under 2 hours. Team 2 however was unable to complete the TF because we simply couldn't outdamage the Reichsman's regen rate (did manage to take down 2 of his cronies before calling it a night though). Joining us were:

Team 1
Razorstrike * 2
Ember Rose
FX
Watchdog
Inferno Ant
Gatecrasher

Team 2
Orion Pax
marqaha
Shadow-Burn
Blastagedon
MiseriChik
ToonTFO

And while Team 2 didn't finish the TF, there were many memorable quotes from the evening:

Jags/Watchdog: "You know the difference between Optimus Prime and Orion Pax? Prime turns into a semi, and Pax turns into a short bus."

Pax: "Oh crap he flies!"

I'm sure others will share any I've missed. Thanks for a great evening everyone, and we'll see you next week smile

So, the Monday night run at 1:11 can be considered fairly successful then?

Looking forward to trying the villain side SF on my Corruptor.

Per, Monday night was EXTREMELY successful. I was on the team that did complete it last night also, but we had a much easier time vs. Reichsman on Monday than last night. I don't remember our team make up on Monday, but I think we had more debuffs than last night and it made a difference.

Team2 last night had decent DPS, but was pretty short on debuffs - I believe that made a huge difference. If we didn't mind continuuing for 4 hours we could have eventually taken him down, but it was just too much of a hassle.
