When she was born, Isabel, looked like any normal person...if it was normal for people to have blue and rubbery skin, webbed hands and feet, and a small dorsal fin on their back...as well as generate high frequency screams.

Isabel's parents were overjoyed at having a child, but also saddened for the way she looked.

Perhaps it was fate that Isabel's father was a scientist at a Crey lab that was studying nanotechnology that would be used to repair genetic anomalies. Isabel's father, extremely fearsome of what would happen to his daughter as she grew older and entered society, took the nanobots home and planned on injecting them into Isabel.

Isabel's father programmed the nanobots to "correct" the mutations in her DNA, and he watched that over the next few hours her appearance changed, except she still retained her high frequency screams and blue appearance.

Appalled, Isabel's mother ran away with Isabel, raising her to value all life as it exists and to protect it.


Recently, Tradewind's nanobots have malfunctioned causing her to lose her sonic powers. The process, however has also modified her genetic structure giving her psychic based powers.
