Giuseppe was the youngest child in a group of Italian gypsies and as far as he knew, he had the perfect life. Of course that life was shattered one night when a group of mercenaries slaughtered the entire group of gypsies; Giuseppe was somehow the only survivor of the massacre.

Filled with extreme sadness and anger, Giuseppe sought to seek revenge on the mercenaries. Giuseppe knew that he would be no match for the group, but his family kept a small library of arcane books that his mother would use to "curse" people with. He didn't know if it would do any good, but he figured he had nothing to lose.

Giuseppe found a book containing various vengeance "curses" and grabbed the necessary ingredients - proceeding with the ritual. As he began the spell, the area filled with magical power, which startled the young boy...ultimately causing him to screw up the ritual. The misplaced energies had no where to go and surged into Giuseppe, giving him great powers...realizing he could now act on his own.
