Jack, as he is commonly called, is a refugee from the Rogue Isles.

Most heroes thought Crey’s Revanant Hero project was dead. Instead it was given a face-lift and relocated to the Rogue Isles.

In its latest incarnation, Crey was actually combining the DNA from demons with those of their Paragon Protectors. Of course, things did not go quite as planned and the project pretty much went up in flames.

The combination of demonic and human DNA proved to be a somewhat unstable combination and Jacklight’s inherent brainwashing was nullified…allowing him to regain the memories of his donor hero. As a result, Jack has come to Paragon City, to seek the aid of other heroes in coming to terms with who and what he is…and to do some good along the way.
